Our pillows are derived from 100% Certified Organic latex. But where does this all come from? It all starts with the rubber tree.

The first step in the manufacturing process is known as tapping. This is a term used to describe the action of making incisions into the bark of the tree. Once done, the fluid—known as sap—flows out. It is then collected and taken to be refined using a chosen processing method.

Once the required amount of sap has been collected, it’s time to begin the processing step. The latex formulation is mixed in with the addition of compressed air to create foam. Think of this as mixing the dough for a cake.

Moulding and Baking
With the formulation ready, the foam mixture is poured into various moulds such as our Classic and Neck pillows. Once filled, each mould is baked. This is where the pillow starts to take shape and transform into a singular, solid form.

Washing and Drying
With the newly baked and formed pillow in place, it is removed from the mould and taken to be washed. This helps to clean the pillow from the initial baking process and remove any unwanted substances. After the thorough washing, the latex core is then put through a drying process. This is where the final form of the pillow is set.

Quality Control
Once the latex core has been baked, washed and dried, it is passed onto a quality control check. It is inspected for proper hardness and density along with a look over for visual imperfections. This is an important step in the process as it ensures only premium quality products get through.
